Our goal at the King’s Centre is to give memorable customer service. Meet our conference team who are always happy to help you in any way we can:
Alison Hopley
The King’s Centre Manager
As a former primary school headteacher, Alison is extremely resourceful and well organised. She has a penchant for baking and loves ‘The Great British Bake Off’, although is yet to organise an in house bake off challenge amongst the King’s staff! Alison has a real love of reading and can often be found purchasing a new book from the King’s bookshop.
Ed Beckingham (on the left!)
Conference Manager, Accounts, Head of Maintenance, Health & Safety Representative
Dad to three under 5s, Ed is constantly on his toes. He’s always happy to help with enquiries and has been described as the resident football expert amongst the King’s staff. Ed is very partial to his daily mocha from the café and is certainly our go-to person for all things technical.
Linda Bowes
Catering Manager
Linda is our in-house chef and is a real foodie. She certainly has her finger on the pulse of all things food-legislation and loves to eat out on her days off. She sings in a local choir and can often be found on her bike on the byways of Norfolk at the weekends. What Linda doesn’t know about food processes, isn’t worth knowing.
Don Irving
Coffee Shop Manager
Don is a keen Ipswich Town fan and therefore should be treated accordingly. He is the proud owner of a much-loved shed and has recently taken up wood-turning on an antique lathe. Excellent customer service is at Don’s core and he takes real pride in the quality of his coffee!
Matthew Turner-Hook
Event Assistant
Matthew is generally our early-morning staff member at King’s and has never been known to get in a flap about anything. He has arguably the most impressive record collection in Norfolk and says that it is “almost all alphabetised”. He can often be found playing his bass guitar on Sunday mornings and has a real love of all things musical.
