The King’s Centre was opened in 2003 and is owned and operated by King’s Community Church. It is staffed by members of the church and supported by many volunteers.
At King’s our heart is to serve people; whether through hosting conference clients like you or helping people in need. This is why we donate funds generated from our conference centre and coffee shop towards empowering people to walk free from poverty.
Your money makes a big difference
Most recently we have given into two main initiatives:
- The Feed – Their mission is to empower communities in Norwich, ensuring each and every person has the support to eat well, live well, and feel connected. By providing safe spaces at the heart of the community and a holistic programme of projects and 1:1 support, they look to reduce inequalities, raise aspirations, and create a shared culture of strength and kindness.
- The Winter Shelter with NCBC & St John’s Cathedral – From November until March, shelter is provided for rough sleepers in Norwich. This service offers warm and comfortable beds for verified rough sleepers, referred by Pathways. This year, the shelter has been kindly provided by The Cathedral of St John the Baptist and Norwich Central Baptist Church.
Previously, your bookings and café visits have enabled us to give to some other amazing projects and areas of need in our city of Norwich and beyond:
- A toilet project in Uganda
- The Pastors Project, Uganda
- Famine relief in Kenya
- Buying an ultrasound scanner for the Kairos Hospital, Rwanda
- Caring for homeless and rough sleepers on the streets of Norwich
- New Routes, support for refugees & immigrants in Norwich
- The FCS Orphanage, Peru
Put very simply… Book a room, save a life.
