Information for attendees

We are the hosting venue, you will need to go through the organisers of the event to book your tickets – we are unable to book tickets for you.

Our building is open to the public from 8.30am Monday - Friday, but you may not be able to access your booked room until 15 minutes before it is booked or later if there was a booking in the room before. Please ask at reception if you are unsure.

Unfortunately we have no onsite parking, the nearest car parks are detailed on our How to Find Us page.

If you have a blue badge, you can park on King Street outside the building; this is on a first-come, first-served basis.

The Coffee Shop is open Monday - Friday from 9am serving drinks and snacks. The Coffee Shop closes for the day at 2pm.

From street to King’s Coffee & Reception, there is step-free access. Our ground floor, first floor, and second floor are all accessible via ramp or lift. We also have accessible toilets on the ground and first floor.

We have toilets on all floors except our second floor, but there are toilets close to the stairwell on the first floor.

We have gender-segregated toilets on our first, ground, and lower ground floors. The toilets by our coffee shop, and all accessible toilets, are gender-neutral with wash basins in the cubicle.

There are baby-changing facilities on our ground and lower ground floors.

There are signs around the building indicating the direction in which you should go in the event of a fire. As soon as the alarm sounds, please proceed to the nearest exit, calmly leave the building and congregate on King Street being careful not to block the road so that any emergency vehicles can gain access to the King’s Centre and (potentially) any other buildings. Please report to your event leader to let them know you are safely outside.

If you are a wheelchair user and in the Auditorium, there are two ramps – one to the side of the room, one going through the Community Lounge – that you can use depending on the location of the fire. If you are on our other floors, please proceed to the nearest stairwell (these are more fireproof than other parts of the building) and await rescue; let others in your group know exactly where you will be. Your group leader will let the King’s Centre staff know where you are so that a rescue can be carried out using the evacuation chairs in the stairwells.

Under no circumstances re-enter the building unless you are told by a fire marshal that it is safe to do so.
